The meeting, space to spread the work of Mexican artists.

Creators of 14 countries participate in the Cut Out Fest. International Animation and Digital Arts Festival.

Lectures, master classes, workshops, art exhibits, video game tournaments, an exhibition of wearable (clothing that integrate technology) and outdoor forum projections are some of the activities that make up the program of 7 Cut Out Fest. International Animation and Digital Arts Festival.

 The meeting, to be held in Queretaro from November 12 to 15, is a dissemination and promotion forum that stimulates the development of animation and digital art industry in Mexico, Miguel del Moral Fernandez, director of Cut Out Fest explained in an interview with the National Council for Culture and Arts (CONACULTA).

"We try to be a festival that celebrates the digital arts and animation through collaboration formats, and at the same time an important international space to spread the work of Mexican artists" said the director of the festival.

The 118 activities are part of the program that gathers 90 participants from 14 countries, including visual and plastic artists, creators, studios, production houses and illustrators.

 Among the participants are: Dvein (Spain); Plenty (Argentina); Laura Callaghan (United Kingdom); Tangible Interaction (Canada); Pip & Pop (Australia); Todd Masilko (USA); Saber (France-Mexico) and Ocho Venado; advertising agencies and Flaminguettes, Kerbal Space Program, Fuckup Nights, Chiptune Concert: Colectivo Chipotle, Jaime Martínez, Mocre, Paola Delfín and Renata Martínez (Mexico).

 From a selection of 173 thousand works from 69 countries, 228 pieces that will give life to 24 hours of continuous outdoor forum projections, will be presented in the seventh edition of the International Animation and Digital Arts Festival.

 The works will be presented in the categories: Animated Short Film, International (Narrative and Experimental), University, Video clip and this year, besides, with three new more ones: Advertising animated spot for web or TV, End credits and GIF.

 "In the current edition we recommend University and Narrative categories, particularly this one because we receive interesting work and also because we think it is the most valuable and relevant in competition", stated Miguel del Moral.

 Some of the work that the public can see, among others, are: In Narrative, El regreso by Nadia Islands; A Bing, by Zhenxing Zhang, and Wake me up, by Dea Jagić; in Experimental, Inside (Outside), by Alexandra Castellanos; Seven Dreams, by Pleshkov Sergei and Haircut, by Virginia Mori; in Video clip, Virgin Shirley Temple, by Salvador Herrera; There is no Hourglass, Only Sand, by Derek R. Brigham and Rob Cimitile, and DVA-No Survi, by Andrej Kolencik and Peter Skala.

 In University, Isis, by Paco Ramirez; The Boy in the Whale Suit, by Marie Toh, and Zoe, by ChiHyun Lee; in Advertising animated spot for web or TV, Ciel Mental Fitness-El pianista by Carlos Rosas; Messi + Neymar+ Ronaldo-Brasil 2014, by Christopher Guinness, and Loop - Hands in the Air, by Heli Ellis, and End Credits, Visitantes, by Maribel Martinez Galindo; Alicia en el país de María, by Maribel Martinez Galindo and FITC Toronto 2015-Opening Titles, by Will Reid.

 According to the director of the festival, the main novelty will be the section, Cut Out Fest Interactive, "where we make the celebration of the democratization of technology that has allowed us an easier life and increase our efficiency and productivity”.

 "This is an event that is a little DIY (Do It Yourself) culture. The idea of this section is to show how technology and digital art have a direct relation on our daily lives", he added.

 One of the outstanding activities of the section is that the public will have the opportunity to interact with a MIDI Jacket (jacket made by the Mexican Company, Machina), which captures and interprets the movement to create music.

 Miguel del Moral Fernández pointed out that one of the scoops of Cut Out Fest. International Animation and Digital Art Festival is the Living Market, "an area of industry, market, where people can do business, find jobs or generate productive relations".

 This section consists of 44 activities, "expert advice for those interested to develop portfolios or complete their projects; searches hunters reel that will allow people to show their work for presentation at advertising agencies and digital platforms, along with walkways projects and  specialists creative advice "

 Nine workshops: DIY (Do It Yourself), Stop Motion, Design Thinking (innovation), Editorial communication and Design, Comic, Drawing, Composition of short film special effects, Character Design and Interactive Design, by renowned artists and creators including Laura Callaghan, Todd Masiko and Óscar Rodríguez, will be hold at Cut Out Fest.

 The areas of the festival, whose activities are free, except the Living Market, are: Cine Teatro Rosalío Solano (Theater and Cinema Rosalío Solano) and Teatro de la Ciudad (Theather of the City), Museo de la ciudad (Museum of the City), Galería Libertad (Freedom Gallery), Plaza Fundadores (Founders Plaza), Jardín Guerrero (Guerrero Garden) and La vecindad del agua limpia (The neighborhood of clean water).
